Dr. Johal

Raised in Gastonia, NC, Dr. Johal is excited to return home and provide expert surgical care to the community he loves. Dr. Johal completed his undergraduate studies at North Carolina State University before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then obtained his medical degree from the University of Kentucky, where he also completed a general surgery internship and extensive anesthesia training. He continued his specialized training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Kentucky. His clinical interests include bone grafting and dental implants, wisdom tooth removal, facial trauma and reconstruction, corrective jaw surgery, and the treatment of benign pathology. Dr. Johal is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care while utilizing the latest surgical techniques to achieve optimal outcomes. Outside of the office, Dr. Johal values quality time with his wife, children, and two Labrador Retrievers. He is a passionate basketball and football fan and enjoys exploring new restaurants, staying active through regular workouts, and traveling.
